Madhya Pradesh, India: Doctors attend to a day-old infant girl who was found buried alive in a forest, surrounded by wild beasts near Indore city, in an apparent case of female foeticide allegedly carried out by her family.
The unnamed baby girl was wrapped in a cloth, and half buried in a freshly dug burrow with only her head popping out in the open in Mandleshwar forest area of central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.
She was rescued with injuries on her body and a heavily bleeding nose. Doctors treating her at a government hospital as her condition is critical.
